Public Events
Members are also welcome to participate in outdoor events organised by the Community Engagement Officer to introduce bird-watching to members of the public.
Field Outings
Field Outings to local bird watching sites are led by knowledgeable bird-watchers who will always be pleased to share their expertise if you are new to bird-watching.
Impromptu outings may also happen at short notice - these will be announced through the User Group and on the Home page of this website.
Non-Members may come as guests for a small charge of £2.
Risk Assessments
We carry out risk assessments prior to our Field Outings. These documents identify potential hazards and contain useful information about each walk. All participants on SDOS walks will be expected to familiarise themselves with the risk assessment in advance; follow the guidance of the walk leader and generally help to ensure the safety of all those attending.
