EIGHT! Common Sandpipers Spotted On Adur

While most of our wintering waders have now left for their breeding grounds, some are still hanging on.

Recently, a whopping eight Common Sandpipers were spotted hanging around by the Adur up near the cement works.

This has since been logged as the most of these lovely little birds ever seen together on the Adur in April, according to local records.

No doubt they too will be off up north soon, so catch them while you can!
