A magnificent Barrel Jellyfish was spotted and snapped on the Adur SSSI by Chris Corrigan.

These behemoths are the largest UK jellyfish and can reach 90cm, the size of a dustbin lid although this was about half that size.

Despite being a common species overall, they are an unusual and quite stunning visitor to the Adur SSSI!
