Intelligent, all-black crow commonly seen in fields, parks, and towns across Sussex. Wary but often curious, it adapts well to both rural and urban habitats.

Deep, hoarse “caw.” Solitary or in pairs. Known for tool use and food caching.

Omnivorous – carrion, insects, grains, eggs, and food scraps.

Look for lone crows perched high on trees or posts. In winter, may join mixed corvid flocks.
