A winter thrush from Scandinavia. Redwings arrive in Sussex around October and often form flocks with Fieldfares.

Flight: Fast and flitting

Winters in hedgerows, orchards, fields, and parks, particularly where berries or fallen fruit are abundant.

Thin, high “seee” call in flight. Skittish; often feeds on ground in flocks.

Berries, worms, and fruit.
