Hope Gap, Cuckmere & Seaford Head

We walk in search of warblers in the scrub at Hope Gap, chats, pipits and Wheatears on the grassland and Fulmars and seabirds as we approach the Cuckmere Valley.

An optional extra is a short drive to Splashpoint in search of Kittiwakes.

Meet at 08.15 at South Hill Barn, approaching from Chyngton Way. Arrive via Chyngton Road and keep ahead (east) via a square roundabout until the end of the road where turn right up the hill on a concrete road. Beware: Keep to the righthand side of the triangular junction to avoid pot-holes. OS 199/TV505980.
