The Adur SSSI, a walk along the River Adur

A walk alongside the Adur SSSI, starting at midday from outside Ropetackle Arts Centre .
The start of this walk is well served by the number 2 and 700 bus routes. Free parking and public toilets are available at Adur recreation ground, just across the river from Ropetackle.

The walk will be circular and just over two miles and two hours in length. It’s on a flat surface, sometimes muddy, and can be cold even in autumn if the weather is inclement.

Tony says “this walk will appeal to beginners, as we focus on waders and gulls in an array of confusing plumages! There will also be the option of tea/coffee at the end of the walk”.

Please be aware that in order to minimise disturbance to birds, only guide dogs or assistance dogs are permitted to attend Outdoor events.
