As ‘autumn’ migration gets underway, the Adur Estuary SSSI is starting to see a number of travellers stopping off on their way south, including this Red Knot in gorgeous breeding plumage.

A small but perfectly formed wader, the Red Knot is an uncommon visitor to the Adur Estuary SSSI, so to see this beauty is a real treat.
