Alan oversees the SDOS media output, including running the social media accounts, writing for various publications, as well as making videos, leaflets and signage.
Alan fell in love with nature via the BBC children’s TV show, Wildtrack, in the 1980s, subsequently spending countless hours as a child and teenager enjoying the amazing birdlife at Bull Island in his native Dublin.
Deeply passionate about nature, he sees engagement with the wider public as key in making sure our wildlife and wild places are cherished and given the protection they need.
