I started bird watching at  the age of thirteen and joined the Shoreham Ornithological Society and soon after the Sussex OS. The majority of my working life has been in the Fire Service in Brighton & Hove City.  In the early 1970’s I started leading  Sussex and Shoreham bird walks. For many years  a member of the Sussex Rare Bird Committee adjudicating on scarce birds seen in the county. I have worked as a Bird Guide for 17 years, latterly with Heatherlea, leading tours to many of the exciting locations in Europe, North Africa, Texas and the UK. An avid supporter of the Selsey Blog and a regular contributor to the SDOS & SOS sightings page. Within the  Shoreham Ornithological Society, I have held several posts including President and Chairman, now taking a back seat.
