Tony Letchford has been our Field Outings Coordinator since September 2024.
A keen all-round naturalist & birder Tony has lived in Findon Village for many years & enjoys regular local downland walks.
He has led several walks for the local U3A in West Sussex.
Originally from Surrey, at the age of 10 he joined the Camberley Museum Nature group. He recalls marvelling at the birds spotted on the regular outings to Slimbridge, Thorney Island, Thursley Common and Pagham Harbour.
He is also a very keen nature & bird photographer & may be seen with his camera & telephoto lens on many SDOS outings.
Tony assists with the organisation & smooth running of our outings & will be leading some in the future.
