I have had a lifelong interest in all wildlife and fondly remember days over the Racehill in Brighton, looking for lizards, slow-worms and butterflies as a child. Growing up my professional life took me in a different direction, but the passion for wildlife remained. I volunteered for a variety of wildlife charities including The Vincent Trust, RSPB and Butterfly Conservation.
Eventually I took a few courses in Biological Field Studies, British Cetaceans and eventually a degree in Ecology and Conservation at Sussex University.
I became a professional wildlife guide working for Naturetrek, before moving on to work for Wildlife Worldwide and Greenwings. The tours reflect my eclectic interest as the target species range from mammals, butterflies and of course birding tours. In tandem to this I started to lead trips for SDOS and very much enjoyed the relaxed, social feel of these trips. I have been a guide now for approaching twenty years and hope to continue for a few more yet.
