Always been a keen birder from a very young age. My local patch at the time was the well known Beddington Sewage Farm.
At Beddington SF I was introduced to bird ringing and this became my focus for nearly 30 years, becoming an A permit ringer and travelling to observatories and overseas to pursue this side of my hobby.
I am now just a birder, who travels quite a lot with my wife and this enables me to see many birding sites across Europe and elsewhere. I am also becoming more interested in general natural history, although I consider myself still a beginner in this side of nature observation.
